Today was the first day of the Morris Family Road trip. We dropped Lloyd off at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on his way to a three day conference in Washington DC. Mom, Nique and I hit the ground running!!!
Our guide for the next couple of weeks!!!
Can't start a road trip without filling up first... We stopped by the local QT to get some gas before heading to our first destination in Florence, SC!
Guess who got stuck with driving the first leg of the trip? Yours truly! Nique kept asking, "Are we there yet?", so I had to get going. Got to be on the I-10 by 10. (LOL)!
Life is a Highway, I wanna ride it all night long!!!
Crossing the Georgia/South Carolina boarder.
We feel sooooo Welcomed! Wouldn't you?
"Take 27".... Nique had a hard time taking the picture with both us and the sign, but he finally got it right on this one. Thanks Nique, glad you gave up your dream of becoming a photographer.
(LOL)
Florence is a great town! If you are ever in the area, stop by for great food, shopping, entertainment, and warm hospitality.
Here is where we are staying tonight. Love the free cookies, lollipops, breakfast and free internet. (Gotta stay connected) Spent some time at the pool and Jacuzzi.... NICE!!!!
I'll always love my momma, she's my favorite Girl!!!
Asked the locals where to get a good burger... They recommened 1720 Burger Bar and they were the best burgers we ever had. Nique ordered and wolfed down the Boss Hog ( burger with ham, bacon, cheese, fried onions, and BBQ sauce). mmmmmmmmm GOOD!!! Erika and I decided to share the calories and shared a burger. We could have eaten a whole burger but glad we didn't. The goal is not to be hungry.
Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderful?... The graduate who is on her way to Graduate School at the University of Tennessee.. (GO VOLS) Thanks for sharing your graduation present with your family. She loves spending time with her Fam.
