Day 5 (Hershey, PA)

Time to depart Washington, DC... Headed to the Hershey, PA....

Where is that guy with our car? We need to get this show on the road or as Erika would say, "Let's get this road on the show."

This is what happens when you ask your mom to take an important photo... You get a picture that says Altimore instead of Baltimore... (LOL)

What's up with these cities and all these Toll booths?  It wasn't cheap either, cost us $3 to pass through.

Crossing the Maryland/Pennsylvania boarder....

Gotta love those folks at the Welcome Center, they are sooooo helpful.

Stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch and meet the Chick-fil-A cow... It was Cow Appreciation Day!!! Anyone that dressed like a cow got a free meal... Wish we would have known.

Where on earth can you find a Hershey's Kiss ontop of a light pole?

Ever heard of Chocolate Avenue?

I guess you've figured out where we are, The Sweetest Place On Earth - Hershey, PA, and our first stop was Hershey's Chocolate World!
Aren't they Sweet?  Look who's standing in the middle, "Sweetie".

The smell of Chocolate is in the air.....

Took the tour of The Hershey Factor!

We didn't know Hershey made Jolly Ranchers, IceBreakers and Twizzlers, did you?

Making Dreams Come True, gotta love those Kisses!  Can you believe they produce 9 million kisses a day.  Think about that the next time you grab a Hershey's Kiss.

The Hershey Store!  As soon as we walked in people were everywhere and kids were running all around.

Waiting to take the Chocolate Tasting Adventure.  There's nothing like chocolate.

Mom must have been a real good student in school, she is really listened to the instructor teach us about tasting.  We learned that you should always clear your palate before eating chocolate and you will enjoy it much better and can taste all the flavors.
Taste tested the Hershey's Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Kisses, Bliss and Artisan.

We graduated and received our Certificates from the Taste Testing.  The sweetest learning I've ever had.

On the Trolley Tour of Chocolateville, USA, created by Milton Hershey

Here's our Trolley guides.  Wilbur jumped on and off the Trolley as different characters and every time he returned, he brought us a different Hershey Chocolate bar, yum!

Who wants to make make their own Chocolate Bar?  I do, I do, I do, I do!

Mom & Dad choosing the ingredients for their Hershey Bar.  Want to guess what Lloyd put in his Bar?

Erika's own Hershey Bar (made with milk chocolate, almonds, pretzel bits, and sweet chocolate chips)

Dominique's own Hershey Bar (made with dark chocolate, almonds, and rasberries)

Reponzell's own Hershey Bar (made with milk chocolate, almonds, blueberries and toffee)

Lloyd's own Hershey Bar (made with milk chocolate and almonds, they don't create those everyday!  Stop by your local Walmart or RaceTrac and pick up this once in a lifetime taste.)

I took advantage of every opportunity I could to participate in activities. I have been waiting 18 years to do this... Working in the Hershey's Factory Line... I would love to work at "The Sweetest Place on Earth"!!!

Ended the night with dinner at Houlihan's Restaurant.  Love those small plate options they offer, however, make sure you aren't hungry.  Erika had a delicious piece of Salmon with Mashed Potatos but it was only enough for a 5 year old.  Since she ate very little, she indulged in a small dessert of Cappucino Cake and Ice Cream, and it was just enough to enjoy, and of course I helped her eat it.
